The CDL Shuttle Driver role at PMC is crucial in maintaining reliable, safe, and customer-centric shuttle transportation across various locations. As part of the Transportation Services department, the CDL Driver is responsible for operating commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to transport passengers and materials. This full-time or part-time, non-exempt position requires a dedicated professional who can manage schedules, uphold stringent safety and DOT compliance standards, and embody PMC’s commitment to hospitality through superior customer service. Drivers operate vehicles such as passenger vans, minivans, stretch limousines, light trucks, or small buses with capacities of 16 to 23 passengers, ensuring that all passengers experience a smooth and comfortable journey.
In this role, the CDL Shuttle Driver’s safety-first approach is paramount, including performing daily vehicle inspections and maintaining cleanliness and operational integrity of the shuttle. The position demands excellent dependability and the ability to handle diverse weather and traffic conditions confidently. Communication skills and teamwork are vital as drivers coordinate with dispatchers and management to adjust routes and keep real-time operations flowing without disruption. The CDL Driver also serves as a hospitality ambassador, assisting passengers with boarding, luggage, and mobility needs, addressing concerns, and providing helpful, friendly engagement that reinforces PMC’s reputation for quality service.
Candidates must be at least 25 years old, hold a valid Class C Commercial Driving License with a passenger endorsement, possess a clean driving record, and have at least one year of transportation or shuttle driving experience. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 25 years old
- Possess a valid Class C CDL driver’s license with passenger endorsement
- Minimum of one year shuttle driving or transportation experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Successfully pass MVR check, background screening, and DOT physical examination if applicable
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
- Willingness to use personal cell phone for work
- Availability to work in varied weather conditions
Job Qualifications
