As one of the most essential roles within the company, the Shuttle Driver position at The Parking Spot ensures safe and courteous transportation of customers between the parking facilities and the airport terminals. Scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, this part-time role requires a Class B commercial driver's license with a passenger endorsement. Shuttle Drivers are the face of The Parking Spot for many customers, playing a crucial role in delivering a positive and seamless experience. The hourly wage is $18.42, complemented by tips (cash and mobile) and regular bonus opportunities, making this an attractive part-time position for individuals seeking flexible schedules and rewarding work.

In this role, Shuttle Drivers are responsible for transporting up to 15 passengers safely while adhering to all relevant regulations and company safety policies. They perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, assist customers with luggage, and provide exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional attitude. Knowledge of the airport facilities and terminals is important to efficiently guide passengers. Shuttle Drivers also collaborate with other team members to maintain smooth operations and may cross-train for other frontline positions as needed. This role requires physical ability to lift luggage, a strong sense of responsibility, and excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with customers and respond to regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Class B commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record
  • Willing to pass a physical as required by airport, federal DOT and/or state regulations
  • Ability to speak and read English
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
  • Previous driver and/or customer service experience preferred

  • Currently holds a Class B commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement
  • Able to maintain a satisfactory driving record
  • Can read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and understand highway traffic signs and signals
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds to assist with luggage with or without accommodation

Job Duties

  • Safely transport up to 15 passengers to and from the airport terminal and parking locations while adhering to all safe driving practices
  • Perform the appropriate pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Greet each customer with a smile and offer assistance with their luggage
  • Provide pleasant and professional customer service
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the facility and airport terminals
  • Cooperate with all team members to provide the best possible service
  • May cross-train for other frontline positions as directed by management
  • Comply with all applicable regulations and requirements governing operation of commercial vehicles
  • Perform additional duties as reasonably requested by management
