The organization's mission centers around improving health outcomes, instilling humanity in care, and inspiring hope, making it an influential presence in the healthcare industry. Corewell Health offers a comprehensive benefits package and various employee programs designed to support work-life balance and financial wellness. The healthcare system operates multiple locations, including the Mission Control department at its Grand Rapids Hospital, where diverse roles focus on patient and community service. Employment types vary, and this particular position is offered as part-time with a variable work schedule. The salary aligns with industry standards and reflects the value placed on safety, professionalism, and responsibility within the role.

The Driver role at Corewell Health is a vital position responsible for safely transporting staff, patients, and visitors. This safety-sensitive role demands a high degree of responsibility, requiring the driver to operate vehicles under various weather and traffic conditions while managing distractions. Beyond driving duties, the role includes vehicle inspections, performing minor repairs, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the department’s vehicles and work areas. Communication is key, as the driver must effectively use dispatch radios to coordinate with other shuttle drivers and the supervisory team. Additionally, the driver plays a necessary security role by monitoring parking areas and grounds for suspicious activities or hazards, ensuring a safe environment for everyone on the premises. Compliance with documentation requirements and adherence to department policies ensures operational integrity. The position’s part-time status involves working approximately 10 hours per week with variable shifts primarily between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., including weekends. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a valid chauffeur’s license and a passion for safety and service to contribute meaningfully within a dynamic health system.
