Currently, Arcadia is seeking a part-time Transportation Driver to join their team at Arcadia Retirement Residence. This role is central to ensuring safe and reliable transportation of residents within the community and between affiliated locations. The position involves operating a company shuttle bus on scheduled routes to provide convenient and efficient transportation, assisting residents with their belongings, coordinating transportation schedules, and upholding the highest standards of customer service and safety. This key role not only requires driving capabilities but also a caring approach to supporting seniors with their transportation needs.

The part-time schedule offers 30 to 35 hours per week, specifically Wednesday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Compensation ranges from $17.42 to $19.60 per hour. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year related driving experience
  • proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear
  • vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • ability to work part time Wednesday through Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Job Qualifications

  • Valid unexpired State of Hawaii driver's license
  • clean driving abstract
  • valid unexpired CPR and first Aid certification

Job Duties

  • Drives the company shuttle bus in accordance with the shuttle service schedule
  • assist residents with their personal items accompanying them or acquired on the transportation run
  • schedules and coordinates transportation services for residents in the community
  • ensures the safety and well-being of residents being transported
  • assists with cleaning interior and exterior of company vehicle and ensures vehicle is inspected and maintained
  • assists with driving shuttle to the mechanic shop for regular maintenance and as needed
  • provides excellent customer service to residents, clients, members and guests
  • adheres to assigned work schedules and accurately uses the time and attendance system
