Job Description
The Parking Spot, established for over 25 years, stands as the largest near-airport parking company in the United States, distinguished by its extensive network spanning more than 40 locations nationwide and employing over 2,000 dedicated team members. This company's reputation is built on a foundation of exceptional customer service and employee empowerment through its Employee Ownership Program. This program provides every team member with the opportunity to have a direct financial stake in the company’s success, ensuring that each employee shares in the growth and achievements of The Parking Spot. Its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion fosters a welcoming environment where all employees, partners, and customers are supported and valued, creating a culture that embraces difference and promotes fairness.
Currently, The Parking Spot is seeking part-time Shuttle Drivers (Non-CDL) who are committed to safety, courteous transportation, and high-quality customer service. These drivers play a critical role in ensuring smooth, safe transit of customers between parking facilities and airport terminals. The position offers a pay rate of $10 per hour plus tips, which can be received both in cash and via mobile platforms, along with regular opportunities for bonuses. One of the unique benefits is not only the immediate compensation but also the chance to benefit from the company’s employee ownership model.
Shuttle Drivers at The Parking Spot are essential frontline representatives who reflect the company’s values of team, people, and service. Their main responsibilities include safely transporting up to 15 passengers, performing vehicle inspections, assisting customers with luggage, and providing a friendly and professional service experience. Drivers are expected to have a strong knowledge of both the facility and airport terminals to enhance the customer experience. They must also comply with all relevant commercial vehicle operation regulations and may be cross-trained for other roles within the company. This role requires attention to safety protocols, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first mindset.
The company encourages those with at least a high school education, a clean driving record, and preferably some prior driving or customer service experience to apply. Shuttle Drivers must be able to safely lift luggage and communicate effectively in English. Physical fitness is essential since the role involves lifting up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation. Additionally, candidates must be prepared to undergo a physical examination as per airport and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
The Parking Spot prides itself on providing a variety of benefits to its part-time Shuttle Drivers, including medical, dental, and vision insurance along with 401(k) plans for those who qualify. Paid time off, vacation pay, and paid holidays are also available to eligible employees. Consistent scheduling and opportunities for professional development and training further enhance the working experience. In recognition of the diverse payment preferences of customers, the company embraces both traditional cash tipping and modern mobile tipping solutions.
This role offers a dynamic work environment where employees are encouraged to grow professionally within a company that values ownership, diversity, and superior service. The Parking Spot's commitment to anti-racism and non-discrimination ensures a positive and inclusive culture where every voice matters. If you are someone who values teamwork, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and seeks to be part of a growing organization that supports its employees, this part-time Shuttle Driver position may be ideal for you.
