Job Requirements
- High school or GED equivalent
- valid New Mexico driver’s license
- UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit within 60 days
- ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
- ability to walk or stand to a significant degree
- willingness to work during day shifts
- ability to comply with safety regulations
- willingness to undergo random alcohol and substance testing
Job Qualifications
- High school or GED equivalent
- no minimum experience required
- bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo preferred
- valid New Mexico driver’s license
- UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit within 60 days
Job Duties
- Provide patient and visitor assistance as required
- respond to additional service or special requests in a timely manner
- provide escort service to all patients, visitors and staff as directed
- maintain daily log of all encounters, duties and/or assignments
- monitor radio for transportation requests
- maintain complete awareness of fire and disaster procedures
- comply with all safety regulations
- maintain hospital vehicles in proper working order
- keep assigned vehicles clean
- report needed repairs to supervisor
- perform basic vehicle maintenance
- operate hospital vehicles safely in compliance with all regulations and policies
