This role involves transporting empty trailers to various Operating Company warehouse locations and delivering fully loaded trailers to domicile and shuttle yard locations. The Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely driving tandem trailers, tractor trailers, and/or straight trucks on both intrastate and interstate routes in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. These responsibilities ensure that the company’s logistical operations run smoothly, supporting the food distribution system across America. The work schedule for this position is Sunday through Thursday evenings, specifically dispatching between 6 pm and 8 pm, offering a consistent and predictable schedule. Pay ranges from $204 to $255 per night, reflecting the essential nature of the role and the company's commitment to competitive compensation. \n\nAdditionally, new hires participate in a mandatory two-week training program located in Little Rock, ensuring they are fully prepared for the responsibilities of the job. The position also involves hands-on tasks such as hooking and unhooking trailers, securing loads, handling customer returns, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness around trailers and work areas.
