The role of Shuttle Driver (Non-CDL) at The Parking Spot is a vital position focused on providing safe, courteous, and efficient ground transportation for customers between the parking facilities and airport terminals. Operating on all shifts including on-call hours, this role offers flexible scheduling to accommodate different availability. Compensation includes a competitive pay rate of $10 per hour plus tips, both cash and mobile, along with regular bonus opportunities. Shuttle Drivers play a critical role in enhancing the guest experience by ensuring timely and secure transit, assisting customers with their luggage, and maintaining a pleasant and helpful demeanor. The position does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), but drivers must meet other regulatory and safety standards.

Shuttle Drivers are responsible for pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee the safety and reliability of the shuttle service. They must demonstrate thorough knowledge of the parking facilities and airport terminals to navigate efficiently and answer guest questions. Exceptional customer service is at the heart of this role, requiring drivers to greet every customer warmly and cooperate closely with the team members to ensure seamless operation. Additionally, Shuttle Drivers may cross-train for other frontline roles, providing flexibility and growth opportunities within the company.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Current driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record
  • Must be willing to pass a physical examination
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Customer service experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Previous driver and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Currently holds and is able to maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Employee Handbook
  • Currently holds the applicable licenses or badges as required by governing authorities to operate a commercial vehicle
  • Must be willing to pass a physical as part of the selection process as required by airport, federal DOT and/or state regulations
  • Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records in compliance with the DOT regulations that require these skills
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds to assist with luggage with or without an accommodation

Job Duties

  • Safely transport up to 15 passengers to and from the airport terminal and TPS parking locations while adhering to all safe driving practices
  • Perform the appropriate pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Greet each customer with a smile, offering to assist with their luggage
  • Provide pleasant customer service
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the facility and airport terminals
  • Cooperate with all team members to provide the best possible service
  • May cross-train for other frontline positions as directed by management
  • Comply with all applicable regulations and requirements governing operation of commercial vehicles
  • Perform additional duties as reasonably requested by Management
