As a company, Romark prides itself on a family-style workplace culture where teamwork, inclusion, and personal growth are integral parts of the everyday experience. With an unwavering dedication to safety, Romark makes it a priority to create a safe, clean, and supportive environment, empowering every team member to communicate openly and prioritize safe practices in their work.
The role of Shuttle Driver at Romark Logistics offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about logistics and transportation to join a company that values safety, efficiency, and collaboration. This position operates within a consistent schedule from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Thursday through Saturday, with additional work on alternating Wednesdays. The successful candidate will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities centered around truck and trailer operation, maintenance, and yard management, all aimed at supporting the larger Romark logistical operations. The Shuttle Driver role is designed for someone comfortable with local runs, allowing the convenience of being home daily, while engaging in an active and vital role that keeps the logistics moving smoothly.
The candidate will be expected to conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles, follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, perform minor repairs, maintain trucks with essential fluids, and fuel trailers on the yard. Operating refrigerated trailers and communicating effectively with colleagues across various departments are essential components of the role. This position also requires collaboration with the fleet coordinator to report any mechanical issues and the ability to drive material handling equipment to assist with loading and off-shift orders. Additionally, Shuttle Drivers will be responsible for updating the Yard Management System to accurately track trailer movements throughout their shift. Romark Logistics is committed to recognizing the efforts of its employees, offering competitive hourly pay with overtime opportunities, growth and advancement possibilities, and a supportive leadership team dedicated to mentorship and employee development. Aspiring candidates who desire a workplace where their contributions are valued and safety is paramount will find a rewarding career path with Romark Logistics as a Shuttle Driver.
