Job Description

ABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the world’s largest providers of facility services and solutions, playing a significant role in creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments. Serving over 20,000 clients and employing more than 100,000 team members worldwide, ABM has a broad footprint across the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations. Founded in 1909, ABM focuses on delivering essential services that enhance the spaces and places that matter most. These services include janitorial, engineering, parking management, electrical and lighting solutions, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical services, landscape and turf management, and mission-critical solutions. The company supports a diverse array of industries, ranging from commercial office buildings and universities to airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, entertainment venues, and more.

ABM is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport passengers to and from assigned locations such as airports, commercial buildings, hospitals, sports arenas, entertainment venues, educational facilities, or warehouses. This role is essential to ensure safe, timely, and comfortable transportation of passengers, including assisting those with special needs. The position offers an hourly pay rate of $23.00, with shifts that may include late nights or early mornings from Monday through Sunday, as well as flexibility to work on holidays. The schedule is subject to change, highlighting the need for adaptability.

The Shuttle Driver plays a critical role in representing ABM’s commitment to customer service and safety. Responsibilities include loading and unloading passengers and their luggage, safely operating vehicles with specialized equipment such as wheelchair lifts, performing vehicle inspections to maintain operational safety, and maintaining cleanliness of the shuttle by disinfecting after each use. Drivers are expected to provide excellent customer service by responding to guest inquiries and directing riders appropriately. Additionally, maintaining shuttle equipment and fuel use logs and adhering to Department of Transportation safety standards are key aspects of the role.

This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals entering or returning to the workforce, as it does not require a high school diploma, GED, or a college degree. However, candidates must be at least 21 years old and ideally have two years of experience or on-the-job training. A Class B Commercial Driver’s License with passenger endorsement, a medical certificate, and a DMV printout are mandatory requirements. ABM is a military and veteran-friendly employer, encouraging applications from veterans and those with military occupational specialty codes such as 88M, LS, 3531, and 2T1X1.

ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package to its employees and is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace. The company is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and supports reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. Additionally, ABM participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify program to ensure employment eligibility.
