The role of Shuttle Driver (Non-CDL) at The Parking Spot is a crucial position in the company's operations, primarily focused on providing safe and courteous transportation services for customers between parking facilities and airport terminals. This is a part-time role offering evening and overnight shifts, with a competitive pay rate of $16.6 per hour plus cash and mobile tips, alongside regular bonus opportunities. Shuttle Drivers play a vital role in creating a positive customer experience from the moment guests arrive until they reach their destination. These drivers are responsible for safely transporting up to 15 passengers, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections on their vehicles, and delivering excellent customer service with a friendly and helpful attitude. The position requires collaboration with team members to maintain the highest service standards and sometimes involves cross-training for other frontline roles under management direction.

Candidates for this role must demonstrate a solid understanding of the company's values around teamwork, people, and service. Experience in driving and customer service is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess a valid driving record in line with the company’s standards. They need to hold the necessary licenses or badges required by government authorities and be able to pass physical examinations and meet Department of Transportation regulations, including the ability to safely lift luggage weighing up to 50 pounds. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Previous driver and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Currently holds and is able to maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Employee Handbook
  • Currently holds the applicable licenses or badges as required by governing authorities to operate a commercial vehicle
  • Must be willing to pass a physical as part of the selection process as required by airport, federal DOT and/or state regulations
  • Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records in compliance with the DOT regulations that require these skills
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds to assist with luggage with or without an accommodation

Job Duties

  • Safely transport up to 15 passengers to and from the airport terminal and TPS parking locations while adhering to all safe driving practices
  • Perform the appropriate pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Greet each customer with a smile, offering to assist with their luggage
  • Provide pleasant customer service
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the facility and airport terminals
  • Cooperate with all team members to provide the best possible service
  • May cross-train for other frontline positions as directed by management
  • Comply with all applicable regulations and requirements governing operation of commercial vehicles
  • Perform additional duties as reasonably requested by management
