Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
  • valid CDL A license with Doubles Endorsement
  • minimum 21 years of age
  • meet all state licensing and or certification requirements
  • clean motor vehicle report for last 3 years
  • availability to work night shifts Sunday through Thursday
  • pass pre-employment drug and road tests
  • possession of valid current DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one
  • physical ability to lift and use equipment to move freight up to 90 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 1 year or more commercial driving experience
  • valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement
  • must be 21 years of age
  • meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
  • clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday - Thursday nights
  • pass pre-employment drug test
  • pass road test
  • valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
  • able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift, product generally ranges from approximately 60 to 90 pounds, depending on the location

Job Duties

  • Perform all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations
  • report all safety issues and repairs required
  • follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
  • inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • ensure all required route paperwork is with tractor trailer load upon dispatch
  • drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule
  • perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines
  • park and store tractor trailers in designated areas
  • ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and secured
  • collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailer and complete necessary paperwork
  • unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required
  • complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log according to Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
  • perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required
  • perform other related duties as assigned
