The Shuttle Driver position at Cheney Brothers plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's logistics and distribution processes. A Shuttle Driver must adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety guidelines to maintain the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
This position offers a night shift schedule with dispatch times between 4 pm and 7 pm, working Sunday through Thursday nights with possible schedule variations. Beyond driving, Shuttle Drivers engage with customers, vendors, and coworkers professionally, answering inquiries and assisting as required to support the overall company mission. The role also includes physical tasks such as hand-lifting and equipment operation to move product cases and freight, which generally weigh between 60 and 90 pounds. Safety is paramount, and as such, candidates must possess a valid CDL A license with a Doubles Endorsement, a clean driving record, and pass pre-employment assessments including drug and road tests.
