The role of Shuttle Driver (Non-CDL) with The Parking Spot is crucial to the company’s operations. Shuttle Drivers are responsible for the safe and courteous transportation of customers between parking facilities and airport terminals. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy engaging with people, providing outstanding service, and being part of a dynamic team environment. The job requires vigilance in following safe driving practices, conducting vehicle inspections, and maintaining a strong knowledge of the surrounding facilities and airport layout. Shuttle Drivers are often the first point of contact for customers, representing The Parking Spot’s commitment to hospitality and professionalism. In addition to driving duties, the role may involve cross-training for other frontline tasks to support overall operations. The position offers a competitive pay rate of $16.37 per hour plus tips, which can be received in cash or through mobile payments, along with regular bonus opportunities for eligible team members. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • high school education or equivalent
  • previous driver and/or customer service experience preferred
  • currently holds and is able to maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Employee Handbook
  • currently holds the applicable licenses or badges as required by governing authorities to operate a commercial vehicle
  • must be willing to pass a physical as part of the selection process as required by airport, federal DOT and/or state regulations
  • can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records in compliance with the DOT regulations that require these skills
  • ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds to assist with luggage with or without an accommodation

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Safely transport up to 15 passengers to and from the airport terminal and TPS parking locations while adhering to all safe driving practices
  • perform the appropriate pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • greet each customer with a smile, offering to assist with their luggage
  • provide pleasant customer service
  • demonstrate knowledge of the facility and airport terminals
  • cooperate with all team members to provide the best possible service
  • may cross-train for other frontline positions as directed by management
  • comply with all applicable regulations and requirements governing operation of commercial vehicles
  • perform additional duties as reasonably requested by management
