The Yard Hostler role at MedTrans involves operating yard tractors to move trailers and containers within designated company areas characterized by tight spaces and uneven surfaces. This position demands a high level of skill and attention to detail as the hostler is responsible for daily vehicle inspections, maintaining logs in compliance with Federal and State regulations, and ensuring all safety features on the vehicles and associated equipment function correctly throughout the workday. Refueling vehicles, managing yard inventory, organizing trailers, and coordinating with shipping teams are also key responsibilities.

This role offers local routes with drivers expected to work a minimum of 8 hours a day for 5 days a week, with the possibility of overtime to meet business needs. The position requires a valid commercial driver’s license, a clean driving record, and demonstrated expertise in commercial vehicle operation, particularly in backing trailers.
