Known for its exceptional service, stunning mountain views, and an array of high-end amenities, this property offers guests an unparalleled experience combining comfort, elegance, and outdoor adventure. The hotel operates year-round and draws visitors from around the world seeking a premium mountain retreat with world-class hospitality. With a commitment to the highest standards of guest service and employee excellence, The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe is part of the worldwide Ritz-Carlton brand, which is renowned for setting the benchmark in luxury hotels and resorts.
This hotel is currently seeking a part-time Shuttle Driver to join their Rooms & Guest Services Operations team. This non-management role demands a professional and dependable individual willing to work day and evening shifts with availability 7 days per week. The position offers competitive hourly pay of $26.74. The Shuttle Driver plays a pivotal role in enhancing guests' overall experience by providing safe, courteous, and timely transportation to and from assigned destinations using property-owned vehicles. As an ambassador of the Ritz-Carlton brand, the driver is expected to uphold impeccable standards of personal appearance, customer service, and adherence to company policies.
The key responsibilities of this role include operating and maintaining the shuttle vehicle, performing routine inspections including tire pressure and fluid levels, and ensuring the vehicle remains clean and in excellent condition. Accurate documentation of trips, incidents, and vehicle status is essential, along with reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions to management promptly. The Shuttle Driver must also actively participate in safety training and certifications to maintain a secure environment for both guests and employees.
Beyond technical duties, the driver engages directly with guests by welcoming them warmly, anticipating their needs, assisting those with disabilities, and speaking clearly and professionally. Effective communication with coworkers through electronic devices, such as two-way radios and pagers, is integral to smooth operations. Physical demands are a consideration as the job requires standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods, along with the ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently.
This position, while requiring no prior related work or supervisory experience, necessitates a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent. The role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to enter the hospitality industry at a prestigious property where they can build skills, contribute to guest satisfaction, and be part of a team recognized for excellence. Dedicated employees here enjoy a supportive work environment promoting career growth, personal development, and meaningful customer interactions all within the stunning setting of Lake Tahoe.
