Job Description

Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) is a reputable and growing family-owned company, dedicated to providing exceptional living experiences for seniors across more than 60 resort-style communities nationwide. At RLC, serving seniors is not just considered a job, but a calling, led by a close-knit, servant-hearted team fostering a culture rooted in core values such as Respect, Honesty, Kindness & Compassion, and Service Excellence. These values form the fabric of the company, guiding every interaction and operational decision to ensure the best possible environment for residents and employees alike. RLC focuses on four essential goals to drive its success: fostering happy employees, creating happy residents, achieving full occupancy, and maintaining on-budget operations. With a welcoming, supportive leadership team and beautiful resort-style settings, the company emphasizes a meaningful work atmosphere where employees can contribute purposefully to the community's well-being.

The role of Bus Driver at Resort Lifestyle Communities offers an opportunity for part-time work that is rewarding on both a professional and personal level. Bus Drivers play a critical role in the daily lives of RLC residents by providing safe, reliable, and friendly transportation services. In this position, you will help residents maintain their independence by assisting with their transportation needs for daily appointments, community activities, and outings. Each trip you operate aims to be smooth and enjoyable, allowing residents to stay active and engaged with the community and beyond. Bus Drivers also support residents with mobility needs by safely operating wheelchair lifts and securing wheelchairs, ensuring a comfortable and secure transit experience.

This position requires strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to remain calm and helpful, particularly in busy settings. Knowing the local area well is important to plan the most efficient routes, and familiarity with navigation tools—both electronic and paper maps—is essential. Beyond driving duties, Bus Drivers contribute to the upkeep of the shuttle bus by performing routine cleaning and scheduled inspections to maintain safety. They also assist the broader team by taking on small maintenance or custodial tasks during downtime, supporting the smooth operation of the community. With flexible part-time hours averaging around 20 per week, this role is well-suited to individuals looking to make an impactful contribution with a schedule that accommodates their lifestyle.

Competitive hourly pay ranging from $18 to $20 complements the meaningful work, alongside perks such as pay on demand, employee discounts, and more. Joining RLC means becoming part of a purpose-driven environment where each team member’s efforts contribute significantly to enriching the lives of seniors. If you have a servant’s heart, a clean driving record, and a commitment to safety and quality service, this Bus Driver position offers a fulfilling career path within a company that values and supports you every step of the way.
