The position available is for a Showroom Manager located in the Pittsburgh, PA Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Showroom. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Showroom Manager will oversee a spacious 15,000 square foot showroom. This role entails direct supervision of a customer service team consisting of 6 to 10 associates and requires close collaboration with senior management personnel to ensure efficient showroom operations. The Showroom Manager’s responsibilities encompass managing showroom displays, the clearance center, driving revenue growth, enhancing profit margins, and meeting budget targets while implementing process improvements.

This leadership role demands active involvement in hiring, mentoring, training, scheduling, and developing goals and expectations for the showroom team. The manager will handle the day-to-day flow of showroom traffic, interacting with a broad range of customers and selling an array of products including lighting fixtures, appliances, and high-end bathroom and kitchen fixtures. Budgeting and expense oversight are vital components of the role, along with maintaining robust relationships with suppliers and addressing customer concerns promptly and effectively.

The Showroom Manager will also represent Ferguson at industry events and meetings, strengthening the company’s presence and reputation within the local market. Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of three years of sales leadership experience, robust customer service skills, and a proven history of driving process improvements and efficiencies. Excellent communication, decision-making skills, and the ability to manage time and people across multiple departments are critical. Experience in plumbing fixtures, lighting, or appliance retail sales is desirable but not mandatory.

  • Ability to serve a diverse range of customers with varying product knowledge

Job Duties

  • Actively leads day-to-day showroom operations including managing showroom team and collaborating with senior managers
  • Maintain and develop showroom team through hiring, mentoring, training, scheduling, and goal setting
  • Supervise daily showroom traffic and assist customers by appointment and walk-ins
  • Handle budget process activities and review expenses
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and resolve customer complaints
  • Attend industry events and meetings as a representative of Ferguson
  • Focus on showroom displays, clearance center, revenue growth, margin enhancement, budget targets, and process improvement
