The organization is committed to providing excellent service and meaningful connections among its members, guests, and program participants, ensuring every individual feels valued and inspired to lead healthier lives.

The role of Reception Desk Attendant at the YMCA is a vital frontline position that places you at the heart of the member experience. Your role involves not only providing excellent customer service but also supporting various administrative tasks such as registrations and answering inquiries. This position requires someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and possesses exceptional interpersonal skills. You will be instrumental in building relationships with members, helping them connect with each other and with the YMCA community. Your ability to respond to needs effectively and promptly will contribute significantly to member retention and satisfaction.

This position also involves promoting memberships and programs through interviews and tours tailored to prospective members, supporting the growth and sustainability of the organization. Beyond customer interaction, the Reception Desk Attendant helps maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lobby area, ensuring a pleasant environment for everyone. The role demands a commitment to upholding all YMCA policies related to member services and requires a proactive approach to handling and resolving membership concerns, escalating any unresolved issues to supervisors.

Working at the YMCA as a Reception Desk Attendant offers a rewarding journey of connection, community, and fulfillment. It is an opportunity to be part of a family that values your individuality while nurturing your potential. The YMCA fosters a space where you can belong and become, making a real difference in strengthening the community starting with you. This employment is part-time and offers benefits such as a free YMCA membership, discounts on programming, and participation in a retirement plan when eligible.
