Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
- Ability to perform basic math
- Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to perform basic computer functions
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 60 lbs
- Ability to work with fresh, dried, and/or processed products, spices, and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties
- Ability to climb a ladder to retrieve items from overhead storage
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with attendance policies
- Ability to engage and lead associates to achieve department goals
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or retail management preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance
- Ability to train, motivate, and lead a team
- Basic math and computer skills
- Familiarity with inventory management and loss prevention techniques
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced retail environment
Job Duties
- Perform all duties in accordance with Company policies and local, state, and federal laws including health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Adhere to HAACP and food handling procedures
- Maintain clean, neat, and organized work environment
- Enforce department and Company safety policies and procedures
- Supervise equipment use and ensure proper maintenance
- Lead and develop department associates through training and performance feedback
- Manage inventory, ensure product quality, and verify pricing accuracy
- Promote customer service excellence by greeting customers and assisting with inquiries
- Oversee proper food storage, product rotation, and display presentation
- Utilize technology and applications related to food service operations
- Maintain accurate reports, temperature logs, and production sheets
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and Company policies
- Assist with preparation of food products, catering, and special orders as needed
