Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
- Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies
Job Qualifications
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English

- Knowledge of bakery product preparation and safety standards preferred
- Experience in food service or retail bakery advantageous
- Basic math skills for inventory and recipe following

Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment according to sanitation standards
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills
- Greet all customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- Maintain and properly use all department equipment
- Pack out product into display cases
- Rotate product to ensure freshness
- Ensure accurate signage for the department
- Prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
- Perform all duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations
- Dress and groom according to company policy
- Follow recipes to produce food products meeting specifications
- Set up, operate and tend bakery equipment
- Prepare special order requests
- Track sales on production logs
- Take accurate inventory weekly and reorder supplies as needed
- Place reclamation in proper location
- Lift and move merchandise regularly up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Unload trucks and transport merchandise
- Check prices and product locations
- Promote current charitable promotions
- Stand for the duration of scheduled shift
- Receive deliveries
- Assist in other departments as needed
- Follow HAZCOM program for chemicals
- Adhere to company policies and regulations
- Handle damaged and spoiled products per policy
- Utilize and maintain equipment
- Check refrigeration equipment regularly
- Complete department training programs
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance
- Work overtime as assigned
- Work cooperatively with others
- Must be 18 years or older to operate certain machinery
- Perform other duties as assigned
