The Auto Body Shop Porter role at Classic Collision is a vital position that contributes to the smooth operation and overall cleanliness of the shop environment. Porters play an essential part by maintaining the appearance and organization of both the office and production areas, assisting with various tasks that support the daily workflow. This includes housekeeping duties such as cleaning floors, emptying garbage, dusting, and helping in the detail department when necessary. The porter also plays an important role in ensuring that vehicles—both customer cars and company vehicles—are protected, secured, and properly managed during their time at the shop. Responsibilities extend to tasks like driving vehicles to run errands or deliver cars, maintaining parking lots and grounds, performing minor repairs or maintenance on equipment and the building, and helping to uphold a safe and orderly environment.
This position offers paid weekly wages ranging between $23 to $25 per hour, reflecting the value Classic Collision places on its team members. In addition to competitive pay, porters benefit from health, dental, and vision insurance, a company-matched 401(k) plan, paid time off, including six paid holidays, and continuous training to enhance their skills and knowledge. Classic Collision fosters a supportive team culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and high levels of customer service. Employees are expected to demonstrate integrity and teamwork in their everyday actions. The role requires physical activity such as standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds, and individuals who perform this job should be able to communicate effectively and handle equipment safely. Overall, this role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment, appreciate routine physical work, and want to contribute meaningfully to a respected and community-focused auto body shop. Classic Collision welcomes applications from motivated candidates eager to join a growing company with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
