The role of Auto Body Shop Porter at Classic Collision is an integral part of maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of the shop environment, ensuring that both the front office and production areas are kept in orderly condition. This position offers hourly compensation ranging between $15 and $18 per hour depending on the candidate's experience. The Porter plays a key supporting role by managing housekeeping duties, assisting the detail department as needed, and helping to facilitate the smooth operation of the shop through various maintenance and logistical tasks. Responsibilities include emptying garbage cans, cleaning floors, dusting, driving company vehicles for errands or customer vehicle transport, securing vehicles and keys, maintaining parking lots, and assisting with minor equipment or building repairs.

Job Duties

  • Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the front office including emptying garbage cans cleaning floors and dusting
  • Help in detail department when needed
  • Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area including emptying waste cans sweeping floors disposing of unwanted parts cleaning spray booths and organizing tools
  • Drive company vehicles to run shop errands or pick up parts and drive customer vehicles for pick up and delivery
  • Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Perform minor equipment and building maintenance or repairs when necessary
  • Ensure all cars are protected from inclement weather
  • Secure all vehicles and ensure vehicle keys are separate and secure
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business
