UB Campus Dining and Shops is a reputable dining and retail service provider located at the University at Buffalo. We are currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Truck Driver to join our team. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the seamless operation of campus dining and retail logistics by ensuring that all deliveries are made accurately and punctually to designated locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, safely transporting products across campus, and supporting waste management processes by emptying composting and trash compactors in accordance with established procedures. This position requires a reliable and safety-conscious individual who can manage multiple logistics tasks efficiently throughout their shift. Operating various CDS vehicles safely and maintaining cleanliness of cabs and cargo areas are integral responsibilities, alongside keeping dock and receiving areas orderly. This job offers a competitive hourly wage of $20.56, providing a stable employment opportunity within a trusted institution. Ideal candidates should possess a valid New York State Driver License and have the ability to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including physical examinations and drug screening. On-the-job training is provided for forklift operation certification, expanding the scope of work.

Job Requirements
- Valid New York State Driver License
- Ability to submit to Department of Transportation physical examination and drug screening
- Ability to obtain forklift license upon employment
- Ability to work productively and consistently throughout entire shift

Job Duties
- Prepare, load, and unload CDS trucks
- drive to and from assignments, transporting product, supplies, employees, linens, and equipment
- responsible for safe operation of CDS vehicles, keeping cab and cargo areas neat and clean

- keeping vehicles and their keys in their assigned places
- maintain high sanitary, hygienic, and safety standards and conditions
