Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a global leader in the coffeehouse industry, renowned for crafting the world’s finest coffee and creating meaningful moments for customers worldwide. Founded with a mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time – Starbucks has grown into a vibrant community hub that brings people together over premium coffee and a welcoming atmosphere. As a company, Starbucks is deeply committed to sustainability, ethical sourcing, and social responsibility, continually innovating and advocating for a better future in the coffee industry and beyond. With thousands of stores worldwide, Starbucks places a strong emphasis on employee development and customer satisfaction, defining the coffeehouse experience through skill, passion, and community engagement.

The role of Shift Supervisor at Starbucks is an opportunity to lead a dynamic team in an environment centered on excellent customer service and quality beverage preparation. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be instrumental in creating a warm and inviting space where every customer interaction becomes a meaningful moment. You will oversee store operations during your shifts, ensuring adherence to store policies and standards including quality control, cash handling, safety, and team collaboration. This leadership position requires a blend of interpersonal skills, operational expertise, and a passion for coffee culture. The Shift Supervisor acts as a role model by coaching and supporting partners (employees), delegating tasks, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, enjoy working in a team, and aspire to grow within a global company.

Starbucks is invested in your growth journey through developmental experiences and offers industry-leading benefits, establishing a supportive work environment that empowers employees. The role often includes flexible working hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays to accommodate business needs and employee work-life balance. Starbucks provides competitive compensation, typically hiring new partners at the entry point of the salary range based on geographic location, but individual compensation decisions are based on position and candidate qualifications. The company is committed to equal employment opportunities and reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities, reflecting its inclusive workplace culture.

Working as a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks means joining a community-focused brand committed to your personal and professional development. You will lead by example, ensuring that each shift not only meets operational standards but also delivers an outstanding customer experience characterized by quality, connection, and care. This role offers a robust platform for those who are eager to develop leadership skills in a fast-paced, customer-oriented setting while enjoying comprehensive benefits and a chance to contribute meaningfully to the Starbucks mission.
