As a shift supervisor at Starbucks, you play a critical leadership role within the coffeehouse by combining the craft of premium coffee-making with genuine customer care to create an inviting atmosphere for every visitor. This role centers around leading by example, motivating the team, and ensuring every shift delivers exceptional customer experiences through crafted beverages and quality food service. You will supervise daily store operations including cash handling, safety, and security, while fostering teamwork and collaboration among your colleagues. Your responsibilities will also include coaching and developing your team members, delegating tasks effectively, and maintaining high operational standards to drive store success. Given the fast-paced and customer-focused nature of this role, flexibility in working hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, is essential. Job Requirements

  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Meet store operating policies and standards including quality beverage and food preparation, cash handling, and safety
  • Six months of experience interacting with and fulfilling customer requests
  • Prepare and coach preparation of food and beverages according to standard or customized recipes
  • Six months of experience delegating or coordinating tasks among two or more employees

Job Qualifications

  • Six months of experience in a customer-facing role
  • At least six months of experience delegating tasks or coordinating a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to direct and motivate team members
  • Knowledge of retail environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt
  • Effective oral communication skills

Job Duties

  • Lead and supervise daily store operations to ensure a welcoming and efficient environment
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members effectively
  • Coach and support baristas and staff in preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food products
  • Maintain cash handling procedures and store safety and security standards
  • Monitor product quality and inventory levels to meet operational policies
  • Foster strong interpersonal relationships with team members and customers
  • Ensure compliance with store policies, health regulations, and company standards
