The role of Shift Supervisor at Starbucks is a critical leadership position responsible for ensuring that each coffeehouse operates smoothly while delivering the brand’s core promise of warmth, quality, and connection. As a Shift Supervisor, you will lead with both craft and heart, managing the store's team during your shift to foster a welcoming and efficient environment. This position entails overseeing daily store operations, upholding Starbucks’ high standards for beverage and food preparation, and ensuring excellent customer service. You will coach and support your team to enhance their skills and provide an outstanding experience for every customer. The role requires the ability to manage tasks such as cash handling, store safety, and coordinating team efforts to meet operational goals. Flexible availability is essential, as the role may include early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Emphasizing teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, the Shift Supervisor plays a vital part in creating a positive store environment that encourages connection between customers and partners alike.

Job Requirements

  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality with or without reasonable accommodation
  • availability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • meet store operating policies and standards including quality beverage and food preparation and cash handling
  • at least six months of experience interacting with and fulfilling customer requests
  • prepare and coach preparation of food and beverages per standard or customized recipes
  • at least six months of experience delegating or coordinating tasks of two or more employees
