Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain renowned for crafting the world's finest coffee while creating meaningful moments for customers and partners alike. Established as a leader in the coffee retail industry, Starbucks has cultivated a warm and welcoming atmosphere across thousands of locations worldwide. The company is deeply committed to fostering a culture of inclusion, development, and community connection. Starbucks is not just a coffee retailer; it's a place where every cup sparks connection and brightens someone's day. With a mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit, Starbucks continuously invests in the growth journeys of its partners through immersive developmental experiences and a comprehensive suite of industry-leading benefits.

As a shift supervisor at Starbucks, you will play a vital leadership role responsible for managing store operations during your assigned shift to ensure an exceptional customer experience. This leadership role requires you to lead with craft, heart, and professionalism while creating a welcoming space for the community you serve. You will be tasked with coaching and developing your team to deliver quality beverages and food products, upholding store operating policies, and maintaining store safety and security. The position offers a dynamic work environment where flexibility is essential, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holiday shifts. Starbucks values partners who can maintain consistent attendance and punctuality while exemplifying strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to build and sustain relationships within the team and customer base.

Beyond daily operational duties, as a shift supervisor, you will also be empowered to delegate tasks, coordinate activities among multiple employees, and ensure adherence to recipe standards for beverages and food. Your role contributes significantly to the overall success of the store by leading by example and fostering teamwork, which is fundamental in a customer-focused retail environment. In addition to competitive compensation aligned with geographic location, Starbucks provides exceptional health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance options, disability coverage, paid parental leave, vacation and sick time, and additional pay for working on observed holidays. Notably, Starbucks offers 100% tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through the Arizona State University online program via the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, student loan management resources, and other educational opportunities, reflecting its commitment to partner growth and development.

Partner benefits also include a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, a discounted company stock program, equity program, emergency savings incentives, and financial well-being tools. Starbucks is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion, providing accommodations for applicants with disabilities and adhering to all federal, state, and local employment laws. Joining Starbucks means becoming part of a community that values respect, teamwork, and the shared passion for great coffee and meaningful connections. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in leadership roles within a fast-paced retail environment and are passionate about making a positive impact on their team and customers every day.
