Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain known for crafting the world's finest coffee and creating meaningful experiences for its customers. The company prides itself on fostering a warm, welcoming space where every cup of coffee sparks connection and brightens someone's day. As a leader in the retail coffee industry, Starbucks emphasizes not only quality in its products but also in the relationships it builds with its community and partners. Starbucks is committed to the growth and development of its employees, offering industry-leading benefits and opportunities for personal and professional advancement. This commitment creates an empowering work environment where each partner can thrive and contribute to the company’s mission.

The role of Shift Supervisor at Starbucks is a vital leadership position that combines the art of coffee crafting with effective team management. As a Shift Supervisor, you will lead with both craft and heart to ensure your coffeehouse is a welcoming and vibrant space for community members. You will be responsible for maintaining store operating policies and standards, which include providing quality beverages and food products, overseeing cash handling, and ensuring the safety and security of the store. Your leadership role involves coaching and preparing team members to meet and exceed customer expectations, delegating tasks, and managing store operations during your shift. The position requires a high level of interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to build strong relationships within the team and with customers.

Starbucks values flexibility, reliability, and dedication, making this role suitable for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The position often requires working flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. The company supports its partners by providing comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, paid parental leave, vacation accrual, sick time, and holiday pay, among others. Additionally, Starbucks offers unique programs like the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, which provides 100 percent tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program. This role not only offers a rewarding career path but also a chance to be part of a company that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, striving to create an environment where all partners are respected and valued.

Working as a Starbucks Shift Supervisor means you are at the forefront of delivering exceptional customer experiences, leading a team to success, and upholding the company's standards of excellence. Whether coaching baristas, managing store operations, or engaging with the community, your efforts contribute directly to the vibrant culture and operational success of Starbucks. If you are passionate about coffee, leadership, and making a positive impact every day, this role offers a fulfilling career opportunity in a globally respected company committed to its partners and customers alike.
