Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized leader in the coffeehouse industry, dedicated to crafting the world's finest coffee while fostering meaningful connections in every cup. Originating as a local coffee shop in Seattle, Starbucks has grown into an international brand synonymous with quality, consistency, and community engagement. The company takes pride in creating warm and welcoming spaces that serve as a hub for community interaction, relaxation, and productivity. Known for its commitment to ethical sourcing, sustainability, and employee development, Starbucks strives to maintain a positive impact not just on its customers but also on partners—the term Starbucks uses for its employees.

As a shift supervisor at Starbucks, you will be entrusted with leading the team and exemplifying the company's values during your shift. Your role goes beyond just managing day-to-day operations; you will craft an exceptional experience for every customer by ensuring that the coffeehouse environment is both welcoming and efficient. This position demands a perfect blend of leadership, customer service expertise, and operational excellence. Shift supervisors are paramount in maintaining the store's standards in product quality, safety, and customer experience.

Starbucks invests heavily in the professional growth of its partners, providing numerous developmental experiences and supportive leadership pathways, making this role ideal for those who want not only to manage but also to grow within the company. The company offers industry-leading benefits that assist with healthcare, education, financial well-being, and work-life balance, fostering a supportive atmosphere where employees can thrive. Additionally, Starbucks operates with flexible scheduling to accommodate the varied lifestyles of its partners, reflecting a commitment to employee satisfaction and retention.

In this role, you will have the responsibility to maintain high standards of food and beverage preparation, lead and coach team members, and oversee store operations including cash handling and safety protocols. You will be expected to live the Starbucks mission by creating moments of connection through coffee and community engagement, managing resources efficiently, and fostering a positive environment for both customers and co-workers. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to mentor others in a dynamic retail setting.

Working as a Starbucks shift supervisor means being at the forefront of one of the most beloved coffee brands globally, leading a team dedicated to exceptional service, and contributing to a brand with deep ethical roots and community focus. Starbucks supports its employees with comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, life insurance options, paid parental leave, paid vacation and sick time, a 401(k) plan with company match, stock purchase programs, and tuition coverage through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, among others. This role offers an enriching career experience that is both rewarding and impactful, giving you the chance to shape daily experiences for your community and advance your profession in the hospitality industry.
