Starbucks operates thousands of stores worldwide, fostering an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for customers and partners alike. The company values not only the quality of its products but also the meaningful moments that occur within each coffeehouse. As an innovator in the food and beverage sector, Starbucks consistently sets industry standards for service, quality, and social responsibility.

The role of a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks is pivotal in ensuring an exceptional and welcoming customer experience. This is a position for individuals who are passionate about coffee craft and are dedicated to leading by example with heart and skill. You will be a key charm point for the store, creating a warm and inviting space for the community. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, reflecting the busy and dynamic environment of a Starbucks store.

This role involves supervising the preparation of beverages and food products to meet Starbucks’ high standards, coaching team members to refine their skills, and facilitating smooth operations during shifts. Leadership in this capacity goes beyond managing tasks—it is about building meaningful relationships with your team and customers, motivating your staff, and maintaining a store environment that reflects the brand’s commitment to quality and service. Starbucks is committed to partner growth and offers extensive developmental experiences and industry-leading benefits to support both professional and personal success.

Starbucks partners, including Shift Supervisors, benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as various voluntary insurance options. Paid parental leave, paid vacation, sick time, and additional pay for working on holidays are part of the benefits package. Further, the company promotes financial well-being by offering participation in a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, a discounted stock purchase program, and an equity plan called Bean Stock. Educational support through full tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree via the Starbucks College Achievement Plan and student loan management resources underline Starbucks’ investment in employee education and career advancement.

Starbucks maintains a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, or disability. The company also upholds policies to accommodate applicants with disabilities, ensuring a supportive application and employment process.
