Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally renowned coffeehouse chain dedicated to crafting the world’s finest coffee, one meaningful moment at a time. They are committed to creating a warm and welcoming space where each cup of coffee fosters connection and community. Starbucks has established itself as an iconic brand known for its high-quality beverages, exceptional customer service, and a strong culture of inclusion and support for its partners (employees). With a presence in numerous countries worldwide, Starbucks continues to innovate and lead in the specialty coffee industry, championing sustainability, ethical sourcing, and community engagement.

As a shift supervisor at Starbucks, you play a crucial leadership role in ensuring that your coffeehouse serves as a welcoming environment for the local community. This position demands a leader who is passionate about both the art of coffee and creating meaningful customer experiences. You will oversee daily store operations to maintain high standards of quality for beverages and food products, ensuring that every customer encounter is positive and memorable. Leading with craft and heart, the shift supervisor helps cultivate a supportive team dynamic, coaching and preparing team members to meet the Starbucks brand standards and customer expectations.

This role offers not only the opportunity to work in a vibrant retail environment but also a chance for personal growth and professional development. Starbucks invests in the growth journey of its partners by providing developmental experiences and industry-leading benefits. Flexibility in scheduling allows for a varied workweek—including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays—to meet the dynamic demands of retail. Starbucks emphasizes inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunity in its hiring practices, firmly standing by its commitment to provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.

Additionally, Starbucks partners benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, life insurance, disability coverage, paid parental leave, vacation and sick leave, holiday pay, 401(k) retirement plans with employer matching, and unique incentives such as the Starbucks College Achievement Plan that offers full tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program. The company also offers financial well-being tools, backup care, student loan management assistance, and various voluntary insurance options, making it one of the most competitive and supportive workplaces in the retail industry.

Overall, being a shift supervisor at Starbucks means embracing the opportunity to lead by example in a company that values every partner’s contribution to creating a positive customer experience and building a strong community. You will be an ambassador for the Starbucks mission of inspiring meaningful connections through exceptional coffee and service while benefiting from a culture that supports your development, well-being, and work-life balance.
