Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain known for crafting the world's finest coffee while fostering meaningful connections. With a commitment to creating warm and welcoming spaces, Starbucks serves as a community hub where every cup of coffee sparks connection and brightens someone’s day. Starbucks has grown from a single store in Seattle into an international brand that values quality, community, and partner development. The company is dedicated to supporting its partners—their employees—through extensive training, industry-leading benefits, and growth opportunities. Starbucks embraces diversity and inclusion, ensuring a supportive workplace that respects and values individuals of every background. Starbucks is an equal opportunity employer, committed to offering reasonable accommodations and considering qualified applicants with criminal histories, thereby fostering an equitable hiring process.

The Shift Supervisor role at Starbucks is pivotal to maintaining the company’s high standards for customer experience and product quality. As a shift supervisor, you will lead with both craft and heart to ensure your coffeehouse is a welcoming environment for your community. Your leadership will involve managing daily operations, coaching partners, and creating a culture that fosters both team success and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate and delegate tasks effectively to ensure store efficiency during shifts. Shift supervisors are expected to uphold store operating policies, such as quality beverage and food preparation, cash handling, and safety protocols, while also serving as champions of Starbucks' values and mission.

Beyond day-to-day leadership duties, the company invests deeply in your growth journey through developmental experiences and comprehensive benefits that support your financial, physical, and educational well-being. Starbucks offers medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, paid vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, 401(k) plans with employer match, equity programs, emergency savings incentives, and opportunities for tuition coverage through partnerships such as the Starbucks College Achievement Plan with Arizona State University. With Starbucks’ commitment to flexibility, shift supervisors may work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the retail environment.

This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of retail operations and customer service that Starbucks is known for. By empowering the team and ensuring smooth shift execution, shift supervisors help create memorable experiences for customers. Starbucks believes every partner plays a critical role in its continued success and offers support that extends beyond the store, including backup care and DACA reimbursement. The position offers a meaningful career path with opportunities to develop leadership capabilities and advance within this globally recognized brand. Compensation is competitive and influenced by geographic location and individual qualifications. Starbucks is dedicated to fair employment practices and ensures all qualified applicants receive equal consideration for the role.
