Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally renowned coffeehouse chain dedicated to crafting the world's finest coffee, one meaningful moment at a time. Founded in 1971, Starbucks has grown to be a pioneering force in the coffee industry, recognized not only for its premium coffee products but also for its commitment to creating a warm, welcoming environment where every cup of coffee ignites connection and community. The company operates thousands of stores worldwide, fostering authentic connections between partners (employees) and customers while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability, ethical sourcing, and social responsibility. Starbucks is more than a coffeehouse; it is a community hub that values people, encourages inclusivity, and strives to make a positive impact in every neighborhood it serves.

As a shift supervisor at Starbucks, you will play a crucial leadership role in driving the store's operational success and maintaining the welcoming atmosphere that customers expect. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about customer service, skilled in team leadership, and committed to quality. Each shift under your supervision will be an opportunity to enhance the customer experience, support your team, and ensure that the store operates efficiently and safely.

Shift supervisors at Starbucks lead by example, coaching partners on the preparation of coffee and food items to meet quality and recipe standards. You will be responsible for delegating tasks, coordinating team efforts, and upholding store policies including cash handling, safety, and security standards. The role requires adaptability as shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. Starbucks invests deeply in employee growth, providing exceptional developmental opportunities alongside industry-leading benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid parental leave, paid vacation, and a host of educational and financial programs.

This role not only demands operational excellence but also strong interpersonal skills to build relationships within your team and with customers. You will help cultivate an inclusive and motivating work environment that encourages partners to thrive and grow. With six months or more of experience in customer interaction and team coordination required, the shift supervisor position offers a unique opportunity to advance a rewarding career in a company that prioritizes partner well-being and professional development.

Starbucks is also committed to equal employment opportunity, embracing diversity and ensuring that all qualified applicants receive fair consideration without bias or discrimination. The company provides reasonable accommodations to candidates with disabilities, reflecting its inclusive values. Comprehensive benefits like tuition coverage through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan and participation in retirement plans further underline Starbucks’ dedication to its partners’ long-term success and satisfaction.
