Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain known for crafting the world's finest coffee while creating meaningful and warm experiences for its customers. With an emphasis on community connection and quality, Starbucks provides a welcoming space where every cup of coffee is more than just a beverage—it is an opportunity for meaningful moments and relationships. Founded in Seattle in 1971, Starbucks has grown into a leader within the coffee retail industry, operating thousands of stores worldwide. The company values not only great coffee but also the well-being and growth of its partners (employees) by providing comprehensive benefits and developmental opportunities. Starbucks fosters a culture of inclusion, respect, and equity, ensuring every partner and customer feels valued and respected.

The role of a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks is pivotal in maintaining the quality and service excellence that customers expect. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about coffee craftsmanship and enjoy leading teams to create a welcoming and memorable environment. As a Shift Supervisor, you will lead by example, orchestrating daily operations with a focus on high standards of beverage preparation, food quality, safety, and store security. You will supervise partner performance, offer development and coaching opportunities, and ensure that the store meets operational goals. This job requires flexibility, as shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, or holidays. Through this role, you will be empowered to inspire a team, build strong customer relationships, and positively influence the Starbucks experience.

Starbucks is deeply invested in the professional and personal growth of its partners. The company provides benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid parental leave, vacation and sick time accrual, and opportunities for education through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, offering 100% tuition coverage for a bachelor’s degree online through Arizona State University. Starbucks also supports financial well-being through 401(k) plan participation with employer match, equity programs, and emergency savings incentives. In addition, the company is committed to diversity and inclusion and strives to offer reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities.

Working as a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks means being part of a company that prioritizes community, quality, and empowerment. You will play an essential role in creating a space where every customer feels welcomed and leaves with a positive experience. This role provides an opportunity to grow leadership skills within a dynamic and supportive environment, blending operational excellence with heartfelt customer service. Compensation is competitive and based on geographic location and individual qualifications. Starbucks is an equal opportunity employer welcoming all qualified applicants regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other status protected by law.
