Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized leader in the coffeehouse industry, renowned for crafting the world's finest coffee and fostering meaningful connections with communities. Established with the mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit, Starbucks has created a warm and welcoming environment where every cup of coffee represents more than just a beverage—it symbolizes a moment of connection, a friendly smile, and an uplifting experience. This commitment extends beyond the products offered to include a strong culture of inclusivity, growth, and community engagement, making Starbucks not only a favorite destination for coffee lovers but also a great place to build a rewarding career.

As a shift supervisor at Starbucks, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the store's high standards of customer service and product quality. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about leadership, enjoy working in fast-paced environments, and believe in creating positive experiences for both customers and staff. You will lead with craft and heart, ensuring that each shift runs smoothly while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for the community you serve.

In addition to overseeing daily operations, the shift supervisor acts as a coach and mentor to team members, helping them develop their skills and knowledge in coffee craftsmanship and customer engagement. You will manage and delegate tasks efficiently, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, store policies, and Starbucks' quality standards. Your leadership will help sustain the brand's reputation for excellence and create an environment where partners (employees) feel valued, motivated, and empowered to contribute their best.

Starbucks invests heavily in the growth and development of its partners, offering world-class training opportunities and benefits. Being a shift supervisor means you will have access to industry-leading developmental experiences meant to enhance your career path within Starbucks or beyond. The role supports flexible scheduling to accommodate various lifestyles and commitments, making it suitable for individuals seeking a balanced work-life integration.

Compensation for this position is competitive and reflective of geographic location, with new partners typically hired at the entry point of the set range. Starbucks also provides a comprehensive suite of benefits for partners and their families, ensuring well-being, financial security, and educational opportunities. These range from medical, dental, and vision insurance to paid parental leave, vacation accrual, and tuition coverage through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan.

Joining Starbucks as a shift supervisor means becoming part of a company committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The company offers equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics. Starbucks is dedicated to accommodating the needs of all partners, including those with disabilities, ensuring an accessible and supportive workplace.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy leading teams, thrive in dynamic retail settings, and are enthusiastic about delivering exceptional customer experiences. If you are passionate about coffee, community, and creating meaningful moments, the shift supervisor position at Starbucks represents an exciting and fulfilling career opportunity.
