The Barista Lead position at Aramark is a pivotal role within the company’s service team, focused on crafting a memorable experience for customers through timely service, quality beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Employed as a full-time, frontline leadership role, the Barista Lead is responsible for various operational and supervisory tasks, including training Baristas, preparing high-quality coffee and specialty beverages per brand standards, and ensuring the coffee bar operates smoothly and adheres to food safety regulations. The Barista Lead acts as the main point of contact for customer interactions within the coffee bar, greeting and assisting guests while anticipating their needs. This role includes preparing and serving coffee, teas, specialty beverages, and food items in accordance with Aramark’s location standards. The Barista Lead also trains and guides new and current staff members in coffee and food preparation, customer service excellence, cash handling, and product knowledge to maintain consistent service quality. Additionally, the position may involve scheduling and delegating tasks to ensure that daily operations run smoothly.
Operational responsibilities include managing transactions on the register or POS system, handling cash and credit card payments accurately, balancing cash drawers, and complying with Aramark’s cash handling policies. The Barista Lead is also responsible for setting up and breaking down the coffee bar or stations, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, stocking beverage coolers, grab-and-go items, service ware, and condiments. Following health, safety, and sanitation guidelines is critical to this role to ensure a safe environment for both customers and employees.
Physical requirements of the Barista Lead may involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing for long periods. The role also may require wearing uniforms and using personal protective equipment (PPE) to comply with safety standards. - Basic math and counting skills required

Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs
- Prepare and serve coffees, teas, specialty beverages per brand standards
- Prepare and serve food items in line with location standards
- Train and guide staff members in coffee and food preparation, customer service, cash handling, product knowledge and other processes and procedures
- Schedule and delegate work assignments to team and coordinate the completion of tasks for the location
- Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions
- Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits
- Adhere to Aramark’s cash handling policies and procedures
- Set up and breakdown coffee bar, stations or store including cleaning and sanitizing
- Maintain clean and sanitary work area
- Stock beverage coolers, grab and go items, service ware and condiments
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
