The Shift Supervisor position at Applegreen USA is a critical leadership role responsible for managing shifts and ensuring that all team members deliver outstanding service and adhere to brand standards and safety policies. This role involves leading by example, working closely with team members to complete opening, daily, and closing procedures and maintaining operational efficiency throughout the shift. The Shift Supervisor also handles customer interactions, resolving complaints effectively while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for travelers. They ensure compliance with cash handling procedures, food safety requirements, and company protocols, guaranteeing every customer visit is both safe and enjoyable.

Job Requirements
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequently bend, twist, lift and carry at least 40 pounds
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents
- Comfortable conversing with customers
- Available to work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- Cash handling and customer service experience
- Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred
- Demonstrates ability to interact with public and coworkers in friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
Job Duties
- Lead the activities of team members on shift
- Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and appropriately resolve customer complaints
- Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) system, accurately process and receive payment from customers, and follow all customer service and cash handling policies and procedures
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labelling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature of products
- Complete a variety of kitchen-related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning
- Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment
- Actively cross-sell and up-sell products
- Maintain a solid knowledge of products and services available in the plaza
- Assist in the training of new team members
- Follow required brand standards, food safety requirements, as well as all company policies and procedures
- Inform plaza leadership of any observations, concerns, or problems that are witnessed or experienced
- Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned
