The role at CNG is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in manufacturing leadership, offering a unique 2-2-3 work schedule that balances productivity with personal time. Working 15 days per month in 12-hour night shifts (7:00 pm - 7:00 am), employees experience true work-life balance while contributing to operational excellence. As a supervisor or team leader, you will be responsible for coordinating production activities to meet safety, quantity, quality, and delivery targets. You will closely monitor production efficiency, equipment performance, and material flow while collaborating with maintenance to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance. Your leadership will shape a culture of safety through example and enforcement of protocols, ensuring all employees adhere to established guidelines and use necessary protective equipment. Ensuring the products manufactured meet quality standards and customer specifications is a critical part of this role.

The position requires fostering strong communication with various departments, participating in problem-solving initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Additionally, the role involves supervising, coaching, and developing production team members to reach operational goals while maintaining a safe, innovative, and productive work environment. Emphasis is placed on managing performance, addressing issues constructively, and optimizing staffing levels for productivity and labor cost control.

Ideal candidates bring 1-3 years of supervisory experience, proven leadership performance, mechanical aptitude, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn in a technical setting. Preferred qualifications include experience in plastic extrusion, a bachelor’s degree in engineering or operations management, safety certifications, and previous manufacturing exposure. Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years of supervisor or leadership experience
  • Proven performance showing leadership, quality, safety, and job ability
  • Ability to work well with others and lead a cross functional team
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools
  • Strong communication skills and positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing experience

Job Duties

  • Execute and coordinate production activities to meet safety, quantity, quality, and delivery targets
  • Monitor production processes, equipment performance, and material flow for maximum efficiency
  • Collaborate with maintenance to coordinate equipment repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Implement standard operating procedures and ensure consistent compliance
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and quality issues promptly
  • Champion workplace safety through personal example and consistent reinforcement of safety protocols
  • Perform routine safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to all safety procedures by all team members
  • Ensure all products meet established quality standards and customer specifications
  • Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement
  • Partner with scheduler, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize production flow
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization regarding production status
  • Participate in problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement projects
  • Supervise, coach, and develop production team members to achieve operational excellence
  • Manage employee performance through regular feedback, training, and development planning
  • Foster a collaborative, safe, and productive work environment that encourages innovation
  • Address performance issues promptly and effectively with appropriate coaching and documentation
  • Coordinate staffing levels and assignments to optimize productivity and control labor costs
