The Shift Supervisor role at Braum's plays a crucial part in ensuring the seamless operation of the store during the assigned shift. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for executing the company’s brand strategy and promoting its vision, mission, and values. This position typically entails overseeing food service functions, grocery market sales, and fountain operations. By monitoring inventory, maintaining kitchen equipment, and ensuring safety and cleanliness standards, the Shift Supervisor will directly contribute to maximizing store sales and providing an outstanding customer experience.

Working scheduled shifts primarily from 2:00 pm until close, over a rotating three-week schedule averaging 45 hours per week, you’ll report to the Assistant Manager and get involved in hands-on coaching and mentoring of store crew members. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to varying customer and store conditions. Braum’s offers competitive hourly compensation, ranging from $15.50 to $16.00 per hour, amounting to approximately $38,500 to $42,500 annually, along with an excellent bonus program paid bi-weekly.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in food service or retail supervision
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Positive attitude with strong work ethic and high standards of integrity
  • Ability to communicate effectively with leadership team members
  • Ability to train, develop and interact positively with all team members
  • Ability to follow through on discipline and ensure goals are achieved
  • Willingness to work 45 hours per week on a rotating 3 week schedule
  • Ability to initiate action and be organized and detailed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a food service or retail supervisory role
  • Ability to build and lead successful teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive approach to training, developing and interacting with team members
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to follow practices and procedures
  • Retail experience
  • Ability to adapt to customer and employee needs

Job Duties

  • Teach, coach and provide leadership to the store crew members
  • Maximize store sales through customer satisfaction and food quality
  • Oversee the shift operations of Braum's food service function, grocery market and fountain sales
  • Actively participate in monitoring inventory and supply levels, kitchen equipment, safety and cleanliness as needed
  • Share in responsibility for ensuring that Braum's store policies and practices are implemented and followed accordingly
