The Shift Supervisor role is a vital position within the Starbucks Operations team at Gopuff. Reporting directly to the Site Leader, this role is instrumental in ensuring order accuracy and fast, efficient delivery to customers. The Shift Supervisor helps execute store operations during scheduled shifts by managing daily tasks and deploying baristas to create and maintain the Starbucks Experience for every customer. This position demands a balance between customer service excellence and operational efficiency, requiring leadership skills to coach and motivate the shift team while maintaining adherence to Starbucks and Gopuff standards.
The position involves maintaining a calm and composed demeanor during high-volume periods, anticipating customer and store needs, and communicating essential information to the management team. Additionally, the Shift Supervisor supports new employee training through positive reinforcement and respectful coaching, creating a positive learning environment that promotes operational excellence. Duties include organizing opening and closing procedures, ensuring consistent quality control for beverages and food items, and upholding health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. This role requires flexibility in work hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs and provide leadership during critical operational times.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of leadership experience in a relevant field
- 1 year of cafe leadership experience preferred
- ServeSafe certification preferred
- ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings evenings weekends and holidays
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to provide coaching and feedback
- availability to work in Baltimore MD or applicable location
- commitment to uphold health and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years of leadership experience in retail grocery military restaurant or equivalent experience
- 1 year of leadership in a cafe preferred
- ServeSafe certification highly preferred
- Starbucks or other fast-paced cafe experience preferred
- ability to work with fluid schedules
