Job Description

Wonder is an innovative and dynamic culinary platform dedicated to revolutionizing the way people experience food. With a mission to make world-class cuisine accessible to everyone, regardless of location, Wonder seamlessly blends technology and culinary expertise to offer a convenient and diverse dining experience. Operating more than 20 exclusive restaurants under a single platform, it enables customers to order a wide variety of dishes from multiple restaurants in one order, eliminating delivery fees and enhancing convenience. Wonder's commitment to quality is upheld by an in-house culinary team that prepares each dish fresh on-site, maintaining high standards of flavor and presentation. At the forefront of the food delivery industry, Wonder oversees the entire dining experience from recipe development to the technology that powers its platform, ensuring consistency and excellence at scale. This innovative approach not only fosters greater choice and accessibility for customers but also provides a streamlined operational model for the company.

The Shift Supervisor role at Wonder serves as a pivotal position within the company's overnight kitchen operations. This full-time or part-time position based in College Park comes with a competitive pay rate of $21.00 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour premium for overnight shifts worked between midnight and 5:00 AM. The Shift Supervisor is entrusted with maintaining top-notch food quality and service, ensuring that every customer receives a memorable dining experience even during late hours. The role entails leading restaurant team members through all service phases, including opening, prepping, and closing, while collaborating closely with chef leadership and other departments to uphold service excellence. As a Shift Supervisor, you will oversee kitchen orders and deliveries, manage restaurant stock, and ensure strict adherence to safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in the back-of-house areas. The position demands proactive monitoring of operational costs to adhere to budget guidelines, safe usage and maintenance of kitchen equipment, and conducting pre-and post-service briefings with staff to align on goals and performance.

Beyond operational oversight, the Shift Supervisor embodies a professional and ethical leadership style, fostering a positive and motivated atmosphere among team members. This role also emphasizes contribution to ongoing employee development through training, coaching, and performance feedback. Schedules vary by location and business needs, with an emphasis on overnight operations, typically from late evening to early morning hours. Opportunities for growth and learning through development programs are part of Wonder's offering to support career advancement. Overall, this role is critical to supporting Wonder's mission to deliver exceptional food experiences around the clock while championing an inclusive workplace where diversity and fair hiring practices are foundational values.
