Job Description

Wonder is a revolutionary food service company dedicated to making world-class cuisine accessible to everyone, no matter their location. Operating as a mealtime platform, Wonder offers an extensive selection of dishes from more than 20 exclusive restaurants, all conveniently available in a single order. This innovative model allows customers to mix and match meals from a diverse range of cuisines, including tacos, Thai, and more, all with zero delivery fees. Whether customers choose dine-in, pick-up, or delivery, each dish served by Wonder is freshly prepared on-site by a skilled culinary team to ensure quality, warmth, and satisfaction.

Wonder not only excels in providing variety and convenience to its customers but also controls every aspect of the dining experience behind the scenes. This includes recipe development, kitchen operations, and the proprietary technology that manages the ordering process. Such end-to-end ownership ensures consistency and excellence at scale, demonstrating Wonder’s commitment to redefining how people enjoy food.

As an organization, Wonder values diversity, equity, and inclusion, striving to create an environment where every employee is empowered and respected. The company participates in the federal E-Verify program to ensure employment eligibility and adheres to fair hiring practices that do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other protected category. Wonder also incorporates an Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT) in its hiring process to support objective evaluation of candidates based on their potential.

The Shift Supervisor role at Wonder is pivotal to maintaining the high standards that define the Wonder experience. Working primarily overnight from locations such as Natick, MA, this position involves both full-time and part-time shifts generally occurring between late evening and early morning hours. The base pay rate is $21.00 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour premium for overnight shifts between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM, reflecting the importance of these hours.

Shift Supervisors are responsible for managing kitchen operations and leading team members to deliver exceptional service and food quality. This includes overseeing opening, preparation, and closing responsibilities as well as ensuring all safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols are strictly followed. The supervisor collaborates closely with chef leadership and other departments to maintain smooth workflows and uphold outstanding guest experiences.

Key operational duties include receiving orders and supplies, monitoring inventory, managing kitchen costs in line with budgets, and ensuring equipment is used safely and maintained properly. Communication with both front and back-of-house staff is essential, with Shift Supervisors conducting pre- and post-service briefings to align teams on goals and expectations.

Beyond operational leadership, Shift Supervisors foster a professional and ethical workplace culture, actively engaging in the training, coaching, and development of restaurant employees. This role demands attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

Working for Wonder comes with a host of benefits that support employee well-being and career growth. These include medical, dental, and vision insurance; full employer-paid life insurance; 401(k) retirement plans; employer-matched Health Savings Accounts; enhanced pay on company holidays; learning and development opportunities; employee stock options; and exclusive employee discounts. Certain benefits may vary based on state regulations and the number of hours worked.

Joining Wonder means becoming part of a forward-thinking company committed to quality, innovation, inclusivity, and making a meaningful impact in the food service industry.
