Job Description

Wonder is a dynamic and innovative mealtime platform dedicated to revolutionizing how people experience food. At its core, Wonder aims to make world-class food accessible to everyone, regardless of where they live. The company operates as a unique food platform that consolidates the offerings of over 20 exclusive restaurants into a single order, allowing customers to mix and match their favorite dishes across a diverse culinary spectrum. This means customers can enjoy a wide variety of foods ranging from tacos to Thai cuisine, all delivered with zero delivery fees. In addition to delivery, Wonder provides options for dine-in and pickup at convenient locations, ensuring flexibility and customer satisfaction. Each dish is prepared fresh on-site by Wonder's culinary team and is served hot, emphasizing quality and freshness with every meal.

Behind the scenes, Wonder manages every aspect of the dining experience, from recipe development and culinary innovation to leveraging cutting-edge technology that powers the entire customer journey. This comprehensive control allows the company to maintain consistent quality, impressive variety, and operational efficiency at scale. Wonder prides itself on a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in its hiring practices and actively ensures an objective, fair, and inclusive recruitment process using an Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT). The company values professional growth, employee development, and provides meaningful benefits to support its workforce.

The role of Shift Supervisor at Wonder is vital in upholding the brand’s promise of exceptional food quality and customer service. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities and is based in New Providence. Compensation is competitive, with a base pay rate of $21.00 per hour, plus an overnight shift premium of $2.00 per hour for work performed between midnight and 5:00 AM. The role requires the supervision and leadership of kitchen and restaurant staff during shifts, overseeing all service aspects including opening, food preparation, and closing duties.

The Shift Supervisor will collaborate closely with chef leadership and other departments to guarantee that guests receive exceptional service standards. Responsibilities include managing kitchen orders, inventory, and deliveries, as well as ensuring proper sanitation, hygiene, and safety protocols are consistently followed. Monitoring kitchen operational costs and adhering to budget guidelines is critical to maintaining efficient business practices. The supervisor must also ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and used safely.

A key part of the role is fostering strong communication across teams, conducting briefings before and after service, and leading by example with professionalism and ethical leadership.
