Now, Wonder is seeking a dedicated and capable Shift Supervisor to join their team at the South Philly location. This role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with a competitive pay rate of $20.00 per hour. Overnight shifts receive an additional $2.00 hourly premium for work performed between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM, reflecting the company’s commitment to fairly compensating employees for less traditional hours. The Shift Supervisor position plays a crucial role in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring that the highest standards of food quality and customer service are consistently met. This position requires leadership and organizational skills, as the supervisor will be responsible for managing team members and coordinating activities from opening to closing the kitchen.

As a Shift Supervisor at Wonder, the successful candidate will lead by example, fostering a collaborative and efficient kitchen environment that supports all team members. The role demands attention to detail, especially in maintaining safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols, as well as operational budgets and equipment maintenance. The supervisor will work closely with the chef leadership and other departments to guarantee smooth service flow and an excellent guest experience. Excellent communication skills and professionalism are essential, as the supervisor will conduct briefings, support training, and provide coaching to restaurant employees for continuous personal and professional growth.

This position is ideal for someone with at least one year of experience leading teams in a fast-paced food service environment, particularly within quick service or full-service restaurants. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the US
  • must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • must be able to stand for a full shift while working
  • must have open availability, including night and weekend availability
  • food manager certificate as required by state, county or local health departments

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience supervising and or leading team members in a quick service restaurant (QSR) or full-service restaurant
  • ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
  • attention to detail and a strong drive for efficiency and accuracy
  • demonstrates professionalism and adheres to policies and procedures
  • must be able to exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills
  • strong team player

Job Duties

  • Lead the restaurant team members in all aspects of service including the opening, prep, and closing duties
  • work together with the chef leadership team and other departments to ensure our guests receive the highest quality of service
  • receive and process all kitchen orders and deliveries in line with company protocol
  • maintain communication with the restaurant staff to ensure the team has enough stock and assist them with supplies and ordering
  • ensure the appropriate safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices are followed across all back-of-house areas and in line with the cleaning schedules
  • monitor the kitchen operational costs and ensure budget guidelines are followed
  • ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely, securely and is in full working order
  • perform the relevant briefings with front and back-of-house staff pre- and post-service
  • ensure all operating and quality standards are met
  • responsible for always presenting a professional and ethical leadership style
  • participate in training, coaching, and development for restaurant employees
