The Shift Supervisor role at Wonder is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing kitchen operations to maintain exceptional food quality and service standards. This role supports overnight operations, with shifts primarily occurring between late evening and early morning (approximately 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM), thus playing a critical part in ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen performance during some of the most demanding hours. The position is offered on both full-time and part-time bases and is located in Cranston. Compensation is competitive, with a base pay rate of $20.00 per hour and an additional $2.00 per hour premium for hours worked between midnight and 5:00 AM. Wonder also provides 1.5 times the pay rate on company holidays, recognizing and rewarding the dedication of its team members.

As a Shift Supervisor, you will lead restaurant team members through all stages of service, including opening, preparation, and closing duties, ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. You will collaborate closely with the chef leadership team and other departments to provide guests with an outstanding dining experience by maintaining high standards of service quality. Key responsibilities include receiving and processing kitchen orders and deliveries in accordance with company protocols, monitoring inventory to support supply management, and ensuring that appropriate safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures are rigorously followed in back-of-house areas.

The Shift Supervisor is also responsible for overseeing kitchen operational costs and budget adherence, maintaining kitchen equipment in safe and working order, and conducting staff briefings both before and after service shifts. This role demands a professional and ethical leadership style, with an emphasis on coaching, training, and employee development to foster a motivated and efficient team. Candidates must possess strong communication skills, the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment, and a detail-oriented approach that prioritizes efficiency and accuracy.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the US

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience supervising and or leading team members in a quick service restaurant (QSR) or full-service restaurant
  • ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
  • attention to detail and a strong drive for efficiency and accuracy
  • demonstrates professionalism and adheres to policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Lead the restaurant team members in all aspects of service including the opening, prep, and closing duties
  • work together with the chef leadership team and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
  • receive and process all kitchen orders and deliveries in line with company protocol
  • maintain communication with restaurant staff to ensure adequate stock and assist with supplies and ordering
