The company values its employees and strives to create a workplace that fosters growth, development, and career advancement. Known for its friendly environment and commitment to employee satisfaction, Braum's offers a wide range of opportunities for individuals looking to build a meaningful career in retail and food service management.
The Shift Supervisor role at Braum's is a pivotal position designed for individuals who are positive, energetic, and committed to driving both sales and exceptional customer experiences. This role demands a leader who can effectively manage store operations during their shift while supporting and coaching team members to exceed standards in food quality, customer service, and safety. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for executing the company’s brand strategy, promoting its vision, mission, and values, which collectively enhance the customer experience and maximize sales potential. Moreover, this role is vital in strengthening the team by fostering a supportive and productive environment, ensuring unit goals are met consistently.
The position offers a competitive hourly compensation ranging from $14.50 to $15.00, equating to an annual salary of approximately $35,500 to $37,000. The work schedule is structured around a rotating three-week plan with an expected 45-hour workweek, specifically from 5:30 am to 3:00 pm. Reporting directly to the Assistant Manager, the Shift Supervisor plays an essential leadership role within the store's management hierarchy.
In this role, the Shift Supervisor is entrusted with several critical responsibilities, including teaching and coaching crew members to foster a high-performing team, overseeing shift operations across food service, grocery market, and fountain sales, and ensuring compliance with store policies and procedures. The supervisor also actively monitors inventory levels, equipment maintenance, safety protocols, and cleanliness standards. The ability to build trust, communicate effectively with leadership, and maintain a disciplined approach to follow-up and achievement of operational goals are key competencies for success in this position.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic, a positive attitude towards training and development, and the adaptability to respond to varying customer and employee needs. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and previous retail experience are also important. To qualify for this role, candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and have a minimum of one year of experience in a related field. A high school diploma or GED is required.
The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k retirement planning with company matching, short-term disability insurance, paid vacations, and product discounts. Braum's is committed to equal employment opportunity and requires a criminal background check and job-fit assessment as part of the onboarding process. This role presents an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals seeking a rewarding career in food service and retail supervision with promising paths for advancement.
