The Role: Zotefoams is currently seeking experienced Shift Supervisors to join its dynamic manufacturing teams. These positions play a critical role in overseeing departmental manufacturing shift employees to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production metrics standards. The supervisors will provide leadership, facilitation, and guidance across various departments including Waterjet Cutting, Separation, Glue Machine, and Quality Control. They will help maintain operational consistency and resource effectiveness to achieve optimal customer satisfaction and meet company goals. Multiple openings are available across all shifts including day, night, and weekend schedules providing flexibility and opportunity for a wide range of applicants.

Responsibilities for this role include supervising staff to maintain high performance standards, coordinating manufacturing workflows to maximize efficiency and resource deployment, and working closely with management to set and track progress toward production goals. The shift supervisors will conduct daily shift transition meetings to document progress and challenges, assist in planning and scheduling, and mentor employees to promote accountability and consistent performance. They will collaborate with HR and Operations Managers to address employee concerns and take disciplinary actions when necessary. Additional responsibilities include managing ERP system updates and ensuring accurate record-keeping for batch work orders and material issuing. Shift Supervisors will also be responsible for monitoring downtime, gathering and reporting production data such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and escalating any safety or operational risks promptly. Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement is essential to the role. Candidates should be prepared to adapt to assigned duties as required by the company.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to speak both English and Spanish highly preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervise and provide overall direction to staff within Waterjet Cutting, Separation, Glue Machine, and Quality Control departments
  • Coordinate manufacturing workflow within and between departments to ensure optimal deployment of all resources, standardized processes, and peak performance
  • Coordinate with management to establish and track progress of goals including communications with staff
  • Conduct daily shift transition meetings including documentation of progress, challenges, and action items
  • Assist with planning and scheduling
  • Review, mentor, correct, and elevate staff to clarify expectations and promote accountability
  • Coordinate with Operations Manager and Human Resources to respond to employee concerns and disciplinary actions
  • Take ownership of ERP systems ensuring timely updates and accuracy including batch work order management and material issuing
  • Monitor downtime and gather data for OEE recordation and reporting
  • Escalate and report potential safety, manufacturing, and operational risks
  • Ensure safe running of equipment and maintain a safe, orderly work environment
  • Commit to learning and process improvement
