The company is deeply committed to providing a warm and welcoming environment where each cup of coffee serves as a catalyst for connection and community. Starbucks is known for its high quality coffee, innovative beverage offerings, and exceptional customer service culture. Beyond just serving coffee, Starbucks prioritizes social responsibility, ethical sourcing, and sustainability within its business operations. They also invest heavily in partner (employee) growth and development by offering extensive training programs, career advancement opportunities, and industry-leading benefits.
This position, Shift Supervisor, plays a vital role in sustaining Starbucks’ mission by leading store teams to deliver excellent customer experiences and operational excellence. As a shift supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the store’s daily operations during your shifts, coaching and mentoring your team, and ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and welcoming. You will help maintain quality standards for beverages and food, oversee cash handling and safety processes, and support team members’ growth through hands-on leadership and feedback. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to direct and motivate others, and a passion for creating a rewarding environment both for customers and partners. Starbucks embraces diversity and inclusion and provides accommodations to ensure a supportive workplace for everyone.
Employment at Starbucks typically starts at the entry point of the pay range for the geographic role location, with compensation reflecting individual qualifications and position responsibilities. Starbucks offers flexible scheduling to accommodate various availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. This role is perfect for individuals seeking to progress in the retail and food service industry while working for a respected brand that values personal and professional growth.
In addition to a competitive wage, Starbucks partners have access to an extensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, paid parental leave, paid vacation and sick time accrual, holiday pay, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match. Partners can also benefit from tuition assistance through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan for a bachelor’s degree, financial well-being tools, employee stock purchase plans, and diverse learning opportunities. Starbucks strives to cultivate a supportive and enjoyable work environment where every partner feels valued and empowered to make a difference.
