Job Description

Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized leader in the coffeehouse industry, known for crafting the world's finest coffee and fostering meaningful connections in every cup. Founded on a commitment to quality and community engagement, Starbucks has grown to become an iconic brand that not only serves exceptional beverages but also creates warm and welcoming spaces where customers can gather and connect. The company prides itself on its dedication to sustainability, ethical sourcing, and innovative practices, establishing itself as a pioneer in retail coffee experiences across the globe. Starbucks continually invests in the growth and development of its employees, referred to as partners, offering extensive benefits and opportunities for career advancement within a diverse and inclusive workplace environment.

As a Shift Supervisor at Starbucks, you play a pivotal leadership role in maintaining the high standards of service, quality, and operational excellence that Starbucks is known for. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences through both craft and heart. Your role includes leading a team, coaching partners, and ensuring that every shift runs smoothly while upholding store policies and safety standards. With a focus on collaboration and community, you are responsible for fostering an environment where both employees and customers feel valued and inspired.

The Shift Supervisor is tasked with managing daily store operations which include overseeing beverage and food preparation, ensuring product quality aligns with standards and customer preferences, handling cash transactions securely, and maintaining store safety and security protocols. A key component of the role is effective team leadership—delegating tasks, supporting partner development, and motivating others to achieve store goals. This position requires flexibility in work schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and nights, to meet business needs.

Starbucks offers a competitive employment package, including comprehensive health benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with life insurance options. Partners enjoy paid parental leave, vacation accrual, sick leave, holiday pay, and access to retirement savings plans with employer matching. Starbucks also provides unique educational benefits like the Starbucks College Achievement Plan offering 100 percent upfront tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University's online program. Additionally, partners benefit from financial wellness tools, stock purchase programs, and inclusive employee assistance programs.

Working at Starbucks as a Shift Supervisor not only means being part of a globally respected brand but also becoming an integral member of a community-focused company that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. Starbucks ensures compliance with all applicable laws regarding employee leave and accommodations, fostering a supportive environment for all partners. If you are enthusiastic about leadership, customer service excellence, and making a positive impact in your coffeehouse community, this role offers a fulfilling career path shaped by passion, innovation, and respect.
