The role of Shift Supervisor at Starbucks is instrumental in leading store operations with both craft and heart. This supervisory position is designed for individuals passionate about leadership and delivering extraordinary customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for guiding and coordinating a team of partners during your shift, ensuring the quality of all beverages and food products meets Starbucks’ high standards, and maintaining the overall store environment as a safe and welcoming space. You will be expected to lead by example, coach new and current partners, and help foster an atmosphere that encourages teamwork, communication, and a positive community spirit.
This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work flexibly across varying hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays, and a deep understanding of store policies and operational procedures. The Shift Supervisor acts as the cornerstone of store management during active hours, directing tasks efficiently to ensure smooth operations. Starbucks offers this position as part-time or full-time employment depending on location and needs, with competitive hourly compensation based on geographic factors and individual qualifications.

Job Requirements
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality with or without reasonable accommodation
- Available to work flexible hours including early mornings evenings weekends nights and or holidays
- Meet store operating policies and standards including providing quality beverages and food products cash handling and store safety and security with or without reasonable accommodations
- Six months of experience in a position that required constant interacting with and fulfilling the requests of customers
- Prepare and coach the preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers including recipe changes such as temperature quantity of ingredients or substituted ingredients
- At least six months of experience delegating tasks to other employees and or coordinating the tasks of two or more employees
